Ben Stokes, is now 32 years old and was born in Christchurch, New Zealand. He played a crucial role in helping England defeat New Zealand in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. It’s interesting to note that he was even nominated for the New Zealander of the Year award.
Stokes’ father is named Gerard Stokes, who used to be a rugby league player and coach. When Ben was 13 years old, his family moved to England because his father got a job with the Workington Town Rugby Club. In his younger years, Ben played cricket for the Cockermouth Cricket Club.
After some time, his parents went back to New Zealand, but Ben remained in England. Unfortunately, Gerard passed away in 2020 in New Zealand because of brain cancer. Ben’s mother is Debbie Stokes, who had two children before marrying Gerard Stokes.

In 2017, Stokes married Clare Ratcliffe, who was a primary school teacher. They first met in 2010 during a match between Lancashire and Durham at Old Trafford, Manchester. Ratcliffe sent Stokes a friend request on Facebook, and they got engaged in 2013.
During the early days, they had a long-distance relationship because Stokes lived in Durham and Ratcliffe lived in Taunton. Many famous English cricketers like Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, and Stuart Broad attended their wedding ceremony.
