Asian Games 2023: India’s women’s cricket team beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets, securing their place in the 2023 Asian Games final.

Pooja Vastrakar took 4 wickets for 17 runs, while Titas Sadhu, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Amanjot Kaur, and Devika Vaidya each claimed one wicket, restricting Bangladesh Women to just 51 runs, their lowest WT20I score against the Indian Women’s team. India successfully chased down the target in 8.2 overs, securing at least a silver medal.

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Varma were dismissed by the opposing team. Mandhana stepped in as captain against Malaysia and Bangladesh since regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur was suspended for two games.

In the prior match against Malaysia, India had reached 173/2 in 15 overs before rain interrupted play. Unfortunately, the remainder of the innings couldn’t be completed due to heavy rain, but India advanced to the semifinals due to their superior rankings.
