Ravichandran Ashwin’s name included in T20 World Cup & Dhoni will join as a Mentor

Ravichandran Ashwin’s name has been included in the 15-member squad for India in the T20 World Cup, starting October 17 in UAE and Oman. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s name has been included as a Mentor.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s name has been included in the 15 players who will represent India in the UAE tournament in the T20 World Cup starting in UAE and Oman. But the most important news is that the name of Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been included as a Mentor. Ravichandran Ashwin has not played any T20 International match of any kind since 2017.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain and best keeper of all the time in the Indian cricket team, has been named in the Mentor group in the squad. The captain of this cricket team will be Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play as the captain.

Shikhar Dhawan’s name has also been included in the Indian cricket team, which will go to United Arab Emirates to play the T20 World Cup on October 17, but Shikhar Dhawan’s name has not been included as an opener.

Very fast bowler Mohammed Shami has also been included in this squad but Ishan Kishan has been named as the second wicketkeeper.

Apart from the main players, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar have been named as stand-by players, as if there is any change in the game, then these three or any one of the three can be given a place in the team. And instead of the main player, the team can be handled along with the stand-by player/players.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that Dhoni’s role will remain as a Mentor for India throughout the T20 World Cup.

Talking to PTI, Jay Shah said that he has spoken to Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also agreed to come as a Mentor for the T20 World Cup. He has also spoken to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who is the captain and vice-captain respectively.

The whole team has agreed with this that no negative statement of any kind has come from the side of the team. Jay Shah said all these things while talking to PTI’s correspondent.

India has been placed in the second group out of the 12 teams that will be included for the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, 8 teams have already qualified for this and now four more cricket teams will be involved.

Ravichandran Ashwin, expressing his happiness to be included in the T20 World Cup, said that he is very happy with this move of BCCI and he has no words to express his happiness other than happiness and gratitude.
