The ICC has appointed 20 umpires and referees before the T20 World Cup 2021 and this appointment has been made shortly before the World Cup. It will be a group of 20 people who will work effectively during the match.

This is the first time since Kovid-19 that so many umpires and referees have been selected for the first time, and have been done simultaneously. All of these people will play their part in the T20 World Cup in a completely neutral way, so that no one gets to hear the word like foul.

Out of these 20 people, 16 are umpires and 4 are referees and out of 16 umpires, three are named Aleem Dar, Marais Erasmus and Rod Tucker. All three will play their role in the sixth ICC T20 World Cup.

The first match of T20 World Cup 2021 will be with Oman vs Papua New Genea. And it will be played on 7th October. The umpire who will be appointed for this will be Kumar Dharmasena of Sri Lanka. Kumar Dharma Sena has umpired in eminent matches in the past, and has been crowned the very best umpiring.

Kumar Dharma Sena had officiated in the last ICC T20 World Cup 2019 and that too was in the final of the match. Along with this, Ranjan Madugalle will also be the referee of the match. And at the same time, Richard Cattleborough will play the role of the TV umpire, and Ehsan Raza will play the role of the fourth umpire.

Dar and Erasmus have umpired very well in the past, for example in a 2016 rematch of England vs West Indies. It is seen during the match where the group of Super 12 clashed with Group A and the task of resolving this clash was done by Dar and Erasmus.

ICC match referees and 16 umpires have appointed four referees named David Boon, Jeff Crowe, Ranjan Madugalle, Javagal Srinath.

And also Chris Brown, Aleem Dar, Kumar Dharmasena, Maris Erasmus, Chris Gaffaney, Michael Goe, Adrien Holdstock, Richard Ling, Richard Kettleborough, Nitin Menon, Ahsan Raza, Paul Reiffel, Langton Rusere, Rod Tucker, Joel Wilson, Paul Wilson All this will remain in the role of umpire.

The old umpire has not been given leave but the name of the new umpire should be included in the first ICC T20 World Cup to be played after Covid-19. That’s why the ICC has hired a whole team of very famous umpires, where they have hired 16 umpires.

And there is not a single umpire among these who has not officiated in the first great match. All the umpires of very good level have been selected and they have been appointed.
